This policy explains what personal data Bente ("we", "us") collects when you use benteknit.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for that data.

What we collect

• Order details you give us: name, email address, delivery address, and anything you write in the order notes.
• Contact messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
• Technical data created by your browser: IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit.
• Cart contents, stored in your own browser (local storage) so your cart is still there when you return.

We do not ask for or store payment card details on this site. When online payment goes live, card details will be handled by our payment provider, not by us.

Why we use it

• To take, fulfil and deliver your order.
• To answer your messages and handle returns.
• To keep the site working and understand which pages people use.
• To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We rely on contract (to fulfil your order), legitimate interests (to run and improve the shop), consent (where we ask for it, for example marketing email), and legal obligation (for records we must keep).

Cookies and local storage

The site uses local storage to keep your cart between visits. We do not currently run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics or marketing cookies later, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

Who we share it with

We share data only where needed to run the shop:

• Delivery carriers - your name, address and phone number, to deliver your order.
• Payment providers - once online payment is live, to process your payment.
• Service providers who host the site and send our email.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Our workshop and warehouse are in Dongguan, China, so order data is processed there and by providers acting on our behalf. Where data leaves the UK, EU or US, we use appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as we need them for the order, returns and our accounting obligations. Contact messages are kept until the matter is resolved. Cart data stays in your browser until you clear it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email info@bentepromo.com and we will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This shop is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
